Design in Balance: Function, Aesthetics, and Storytelling

Design is a powerful tool that goes beyond creating aesthetically pleasing objects; it has the ability to enhance functionality, create beauty, and tell stories. This workshop will focus on exploring these dimensions through the concept of balance.

By working with a simple material like paper, which can be both functional and expressive, participants will gain insights into the creative processes that underpin innovative design solutions. The workshop will encourage participants to think beyond the surface of design, focusing instead on the fundamental principles that drive successful product creation.

The goal of this workshop is to provide participants with a hands-on experience of the creative processes at the core of design thinking. Rather than focusing on producing a final product, the workshop aims to encourage exploration of abstract concepts, in this case balance, and how these can inspire functional, aesthetic, and narrative approaches to design.

Participants will engage with materials and constraints, learning to use them as tools to spark creativity and drive innovation.
